Every number in the app came from somewhere.
Here is where.
Calories burned, calories eaten, the macros on a food item, the structure of a standard workout plan. Each one is either read from a published table or calculated with a named formula. Both are listed below with links, so you can check the arithmetic rather than take our word for it.

Four things the app calculates, and what each one reads from

02 / Formulas
Three, and they are the standard ones
Nothing proprietary. If you have seen these before, they behave the way you expect them to.
BMR
Basal metabolic rate. What your body spends doing nothing at all, which is most of what it spends.
BMI
Body mass index. Weight against height. Useful across a population, blunt for one person, and it does not know the difference between muscle and fat.
TDEE
Total daily energy expenditure: BMR multiplied by an activity factor. This is the number a calorie target is set against.
